Yvonne Marie Burke

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Marie Anne Yolande "Landie" Burke (nee Langlois) on Sunday, July, 20, 2025 at Muskoka Shores Community Living in her 100th year. Beloved wife of William Joseph Verdon Burke. Devoted mother to Son Kevin (Shawn), Daughter Jennifer, Son Tristan (Paula) and Daughter Melanie. Loving grandmother to (Andrew, Regan, Amy, Joseph, Darren, Garrett).

A daughter of Joseph-Oscar Langlois and Marie-Berthe (Bertha) Hedwige Gaudet, Landie grew up in North Bay with her 12 siblings before relocating to numerous municipalities throughout Ontario - finally settling with her husband and children in Orillia. There, as a busy homemaker, she raised and nurtured her 4 children and over 27 foster children. When time permitted, she enjoyed many activities such as knitting, cooking, and spending time with her family. Deeply religious and completely selfless, she was active at the local Guardian Angels Catholic Church and supported charities for the poor her whole life. Landie will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V 5C1. Cremation to take place. A private family interment will take place this summer at Saint Andrew's - Saint James' Cemetery, 320 Coldwater Rd W, Orillia, ON L3V 6J8.
