Joe was born September 25th, 1932, and passed peacefully on January 19th, 2023, at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in Orillia. Raised on Castlefield Avenue in Toronto, Joe graduated from Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute, and went on to complete a degree at the University of Western Ontario and a Chartered Accountant’s designation.  Son of William and Helen Watson, pre-deceased by his sister Jean, survived by his devoted wife Carole (nee Ebeling), loving children Kristen and Matthew, daughter-in-law Erin and grand children Megan, Sadie and Sophie. Joe was a passionately devoted, though often disappointed Toronto sports fan who religiously followed the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. He was also an enthusiastic amateur historian and political observer, his self-published books about Canadian and American History were a source of pride.
