William ‘Bill’ Fell, who passed on August 25, 2026, just five days after his 80th birthday, dedicated his life to his relationship with his wife Lynne (nee Chattington) and his two beloved children Nichola (Michael Bond) and Jeff. He especially found joy with his grandchild Jackson Bond, and his many pets.
Bill, son of the late John and Laurene Fell, is survived by his brothers Bryan (Gina) and Bob (Kim) and his sister Donna Plue (Priit Pallopson), Bill cherished his family and his brother Garry (predeceased) and loved his many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother-in-law to Terry Chattington (Stella), Dianne (Barry Drew), Sandra Chattington and Robyn (Tony Cane), as well as Harry, Dick, Reg and Gaye Chattington (predeceased).
Bill dedicated over 30 years working at Weston’s Bakeries. He took pride and care in the work he did and to his employees. He was an active sportsman and loved playing golf, curling, basketball and skiing with his many friends. His lake friends also included evenings of darts and pool. Bill was both a sportsman and a gentleman. He never spoke ill of anyone, never performed an unkind act. He was, in all respects, a wonderful man.
The family would like to thank Mariposa House Hospice for the loving and gentle care they provided in the last few days and to Dr. Barnett who guided them through the last few years.
As per Bill’s wishes, cremation will take place. Family and friends will be received at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, on Monday, August 31st from 11:00am until the time of service in the chapel at 12:00pm. A luncheon and time to share memories will follow in the upstairs lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mariposa House Hospice in Bill’s memory.
