Celebration of Life
Terry John Hehn
March 4, 1945 - May 23, 2022
Terry was the husband of Patricia Hehn and special father to David of Toronto, James and Lily of Dubai, UAE, and Sarah of Orillia. He was looking forward to the birth of his new grandson, Jonathon, in Dubai.
Terry is predeceased by his parents Rudolph John and Christina Margaret Hehn formerly of London, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents-in-law, Myrtle and Richard Bowlen formerly of Orillia. He is also predeceased by his brother Rudolph and surviving wife, Dorothy, of Rostock and survived by his sister Stella (Al predeceased) of  Kitchener.  He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sydney and Ken  Dyck of Toronto and nephew, Christopher van Dyck and his wife, Terri, of  Kitchner, and niece Julia Dyck,  of Toronto.
Terry graduated as a Chartered Accountant in December, 1969, and moved to Orillia in June, 1973 to join Greer, Flemming, Rolland & Co. He became a partner soon thereafter and watched the firm grow through several mergers to become part of BDO.  He left to form his own firm Hehn, Trickey Professional Corporation before retiring after practicing as an accountant for over 50 years.
In his younger years, Terry was active in the community, being a member of both the Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs at various times.  He enjoyed coaching both T-ball and soccer and was a Beaver and Cub Leader in the Boy Scout Organization.  He was also active politically, serving on both the local Provincial and Federal Liberal Associations.
Unfortunately, Terry had suffered ill health for the past number of months spending much time in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and then Trillium Manor. The family are very grateful for the care he received from both institutions and would suggest that donations be made to either the Orillia and Area Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee c/o OSMH Foundation , or Trillium Manor in his name.
They are also grateful to the many friends who have supported them through the past number of months and helped them in so many ways.
Memorial visitation will be held at St. James' Anglican Church, 58 Peter St N, Orillia on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10:30 am until time of Memorial Service at 11:30am.
