Passed away at Mariposa House Hospice on Sunday, January 12, 2025; at the age of 88. Now reunited with her beloved husband & favourite dancing partner Robert Rix Beard. Loving mother of Randy (Val), Stephen, and Lorie (Terry). Cherished Gram of Dacoda, Jayme, Jacob, Michelle, Sadie, and Lexie and proud Great Gram of Trent, Sawyer, Liv, Ted, and Cam. Sylvia was predeceased by her six siblings Tom, Ed, Roy, Bill, Viola, and Irene. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Sylvia will be remembered as a strong woman, the Matriarch of the Beard Clan, who called the shots, lived life her way, and had no qualms getting her point across. She was a member of the Willis Presbyterian Church and enjoyed music even as a young girl performing in Kiwanis Music Festivals alongside Gordon Lightfoot.

As per Sylvia's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the family farm at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Mariposa House Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com.
