Went home to her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 75. Sylvia, beloved wife of David Beard for 53 years. Loving mother of Deanna Davignon (Etienne) and Lauren Baker (Jonathan). Proud Nana of Nathan, Saskia & Sophia Davignon and Julia & Patrick Baker. Loved sister of Robert Storey (Marilyn) and John Storey (Cecile). Dear sister-in-law of Bruce Beard (Wendy) and John Beard (Hilda). Sadly missed by her "sister/cousin”, Dawn Marie Campbell. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. 

Sylvia trained as an RN and worked as a nurse for many years. Once her children arrived she dedicated her life to raising and homeschooling them. Her 5 grandkids were the light of her life! Sylvia loved spending time with her family at home or on one of their wonderful family vacations. She was always there ready to listen or lend a hand. She also had a tender heart for animals and helped any unfortunate animal she came across. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 2 - 4 PM & 7 - 9 PM. Then on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Heritage Baptist Church, 79 Ardagh Rd, Barrie, ON from 1 PM until time of Funeral Service at 2 PM. Interment will be held at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to Mariposa Hospice House or Comfie Cat Shelter in Orillia would be appreciated.
