Ruth Fountain (nee Perryman)

(Former Counsellor of Oro-Medonte; Longtime Employee of BMO for 40 years; 25 year Volunteer with Soldiers' Memorial Hospital; Valued Leader of the Women's Institute)

Passed away peacefully at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in her 88th year. Ruth will be dearly missed by family, friends, and her community. Ruth, beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Fountain. Loving mother of Jeffrey Glen and partner Carol-Anne of Ottawa and Karen Elizabeth (predeceased May 10, 2005). She will be sadly missed by her granddaughter Meaghan Fountain and her mother Dale Day of Barrie. Daughter of the late Alverta and Ernest Perryman. Ruth is predeceased by her siblings Jack, Allan & Marina Perryman. Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia, on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 from 4 - 7 pm and on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, from 10 am until time of service in the chapel at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place and the interment will take place at Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte at a later date.
