Ross Frederick Counter

Counter, Ross (Rosco) Passed away on January 1 ,2026 peacefully after a short illness at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in Orillia, Ontario. Ross had a serious stroke in 2021 and required long term care. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Bruce and Mary Counter, his brother Jake and his beloved wife Liz (nee Currigan) of 25 years . Ross is survived by his sister Pam Lyon , his nieces Maria (Scott) and Lizzie (Kyle), his brother Bill(Karen) and his nephews Bill, George(Shannon), James(Joanna) and niece Rosemary(Jordan), his Aunty Ev, Rose and uncles Jack and Bauz, and many cousins. Ross is resting at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N, Orillia, Ontario on Thursday January 8 from 4 pm- 7 pm . Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 235 John St S, Gravenhurst, ON at 12 noon on Friday January 9th . Reception to follow.
