Ronald "Ron" Charles Doyle

DOYLE, RONALD, CHARLES - passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Friday October 16, 2026 in his 80th year after a courageous fight with cancer. Ron has always been proud of his roots, the Doyle farm on the Irish Line. In Ron’s early years he worked at Miller Construction as a grader operator. This is something that he was proud of and was always ready to talk about and share his memories of his time grading and the many roadways he worked on, from Toronto to Timmins and the many places in between. His proudest memory of Miller’s was meeting his loving wife Linda of 59 years. In December of 1966 they were introduced and married in October of 1967. Together they started their journey and worked side by side on the Irish Line. They built a dairy barn and over the years they raised their family which Ron was very proud of. They continued to build their dairy herd, winning some awards which he was very proud of and was quick to tell everyone he couldn’t have done it without Linda. Ron loved horses and treasured his team of Belgian mares Babe and Minnie. After retiring from dairy farming, they had a few Herford cows, which he loved looking after and watching them out in the fields. As the years moved on and things slowed down out in the fields he would still go to the barn twice a day to feed his cats. You could always find Ron out in his garden which he took great pride in. He always planted flowers because Linda liked looking at them and he would pick some and take them in the house for his sweetie. Ron cherished his friends and neighbors; the door was always open for a good visit and a cup of tea at the kitchen table. Ron loved farming and gardening but most of all he loved his family and always loved having them around. Ron was a proud father of his three girls, who gave him grandchildren and great grandchildren who made him light up whenever they were around. Ron will be deeply missed by his loving wife Linda, his children Tracy (Larry), Lisa (Mike), Sheri (Dave) his cherished grandchildren Kyle, Blake (Diana) Bobbi-Jo (Mack), Justin (Catherine), Curtis (Teghan), Jacklyn (Josh) and his great grandchildren Taylor, Charlie, Walker and Tilly. Ron is survived by his sisters Mary and Cathy and predeceased by his brother Ed and parents Charlie and Ida.

There will be a celebration of life at the Matchedash Community Heritage Centre, November 14th from 1 - 4 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
