Robert (Bob) Wesley Buchner
July 4, 1932 - December 4, 2025 After a brief illness, Bob passed away peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia in his 94th year. He was a long time business partner of Charles Simpson & together they bought and sold many properties as well as built numerous cottages in the Washago area. (Severn & Ramara). His home at Bay Park on Lake Couchiching, just north of Orillia, was his all time favourite place to live. From there, he moved to residences on Fittons Ave., Elgin Bay Club & when the time was right, he made the move to Birchmere Retirement Residence, again close to Lake Couchiching. He will be missed by his many friends and past business associates. Special thanks to those at Birchmere Retirement Residence for excellent care during the 6 months he called Birchmere home & the 4th floor staff at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. Although, his desire to stay at Mariposa Hospice, it was not to be. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Bob, may be made to Mariposa Hospice, Orillia.
