Passed suddenly on Sunday September 22, two weeks before his 81st birthday. Predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Eileen, sister Barbara, and brother Jim. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Heather; their sons, Alan (Marinka) and Doug (Gwen); daughters, Laura and Julie; grandchildren, Pierre-André, Lillian and Baden; and siblings, Jean (Peter), Ellen (Bill), Sheila (Ernie, deceased), and Bruce (Kathy, deceased), and many nieces and nephews. Born in Clarkson, ON into a family of produce farmers, he was known for his love of his flower and vegetable gardens (and especially apples). He worked at the SCDSB for his entire career and was a devoted member of The Salvation Army. Visitation will take place Wednesday October 2nd, 2024, from 6:30-8pm, at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street N, Orillia. 

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Thursday October 3rd, 2024, at 12 noon, at The Salvation Army Orillia Citadel, 157 Coldwater Rd W., Orillia. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donation to a charity of your choosing. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundedllfuneralhome.com
