Phyllis Ann Gordon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Phyllis Gordon at her home on June 22, 2025.

Phyllis was the beloved wife and best friend of Glenn Gordon, who passed away on the same date in 2018. She was a devoted mother and mother-in-law to Adele, Kelly & Paul, and Stacey & Danny. A cherished Nana and Nana-in-law to Emily & Adam, Victoria, Julia, and Sarah, and Gigi to her beloved great-granddaughter Scottie.

She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Orma and Donna (Bill) and her brother-in-law Dave. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Myrtle and Donald McDonald, her sister Barbara, brother Doug, sister-in-law Norma, and brother-in-law Ron. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Phyllis was the heart of her family. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and laughter—often the centre of family gatherings where everyone felt welcome and cherished.

She was an avid golfer who found great joy on the course, spending many sunny days enjoying the game and the company of friends. A talented and creative soul, Phyllis was a dedicated crafter. She poured love and care into every handmade creation—whether knitting, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, quilting, or sewing.

For 35 years, Phyllis served as the Executive Director of the Seven South Street Treatment Centre, where she was a pillar of support and compassion for countless individuals on their journey to recovery.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Coldwater. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28th from 1:00pm until 4:00 p.m. at the Couchiching Golf & Country Club, 370 Peter St. N., Orillia. Arrangements have been entrusted with Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia.
