Philip Joseph McMahon

It with great sadness and shock, we announce the passing of Phil who died at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia on February 13, 2023, at the age of 69.  Best friend and husband of Helen Vella-McMahon and will be sadly missed by Helen's sons Justin Robinson and Joshua Vella.  Much loved brother of Vince and Tony.  He will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, colleagues, neighbours, friends, and former students both in Canada and Ireland.  Predeceased by his parents Thomas & Margaret McMahon.

If you knew Phil, you knew of his creative side, his brilliant teaching skills, his joy for fly tying & fly fishing and his passion for playing and preserving traditional Irish heritage music.  Cremation has taken place, followed by a journey to his homeland in Dublin, Ireland.
