At Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, with his family by his side, in his 81st year.  Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Sheedy).  Loving father of Alana McCarthy (Kent) and Shawn McCarthy (Margaret).  Proud Papa of Melissa (Jay) and Kimberley.  Proud Great Papa of Dean.  Dear brother of Phyllis McCarthy.  The family wishes to thank OSMH Emergency Dept. and Soldiers' I, Dr. John Stokreef and Dr. Ryan Mitchell for their excellent care & compassion.  Following cremation, friends and relatives will be received at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia, on Thursday, March 24th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm with Parish Prayers to be said in the parlour at 6:45 pm.  Then to the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St., N., Orillia for Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2 pm.  Inurnment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Orillia, weather permitting.  If desired, memorial donations to Soldiers' Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
