CRANNEY, Michael, Francis- Peacefully, at his home in Maple Valley, surrounded by his family, on Jan. 23rd, 2014. Loving husband of Esther (Snyder) of 52 years. Devoted father to Laura (Ted Scholte), Shawn (Michele Moore), Angie (Howie Murney), Sheila (Kevin Grant) and Carrie-Lynne (Scott Holmes). Proud and doting "Poppa" to Marley, Kirsten, Corey, Greg, Kelly, Megan, Jessi, Nic, Emma, Jamie, Quinton and Connor. In his 77th year, Michael will be sadly missed by his loving siblings: Bob, Mary, Pat, Jack, Jim, Bill, Keith and their families, as well as Esther's many siblings, and their families. Pre-deceased by his loving parents, Joe and Anne Cranney. Michael had a zest for life, and loved nothing more than to surround himself with family and friends, sharing a good story, lots of laughs, home cooking and a good tune for dancing. He will be fondly remembered by his large family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Tuesday, January 28th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held in the parlour Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. Then to the Church of the Guardian Angels for Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 29th, at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
