Margaret Laura (McCauley) Bramm

BRAMM, Margaret Laura (nee McCauley) - June 3, 1925 to March 20, 2023

Peacefully at Wyndham Manor, Oakville, with family by her side. Dear wife to the late George Vernon (2007), survived by children Rick (Susan) of Edmonton and Gerry (Patty) of Oakville; her five grandchildren Colin (Leanne), Andrew (Megan), Alex (Emily), Becky and Patrick (Falen) and her four great-grandchildren Isabella, Abby, Jack and Kira.

Margaret was born in Toronto on June 3, 1925, to Richard and Eva McCauley (nee Peay) and had one brother, Cliff. She was raised and resided in Toronto’s west end until 1968, when the family moved to Orillia.

Margaret was loved by all of those who knew her well. She was cheerful and courteous, and loved to engage in conversation. Above all, her family was at the heart of her existence. Margaret was inspired by the beauty in nature, and loved the family cottage near Huntsville.  She had an avid and enduring interest in all aspects of homemaking, and baking and the fine arts of needlepoint, sewing, knitting and the theatre.

She will be sadly missed by family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia. In Margaret’s memory and in lieu of flowers, donations to Essen Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Atrium and to the staff of Wyndham Manor for her care during the last few weeks of her life.
