Lynda Louise Tucker (nee: Elinesky)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family matriarch on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, at the age of 78. Lynda was born in Brampton on February 16, 1947 to Louis and Lorraine Elinesky. Lynda leaves behind the love of her life and best friend, Leo Tucker, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage after their first meeting in Georgetown in 1961. They were truly inseparable and could rarely ever be seen apart. Lynda was the devoted mother of Michael (Lisa Bowlin) and Jason (Lisa Kueneman), and the proud, adored grandma of Abby, Jaime, and Ridley. She was a constant source of wisdom, strength, and unwavering support for her grandchildren showering them with love and anything else their hearts desired. Her love and adoration for her grandkids was unconditional. They meant the world to her, and she meant the world to them.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Brydon (Sue), John (Marilyn), Jill (Bill), Mary, Bob (Barb), Laurie (Reuben), and predeceased by her brother Bill (Laurie). Lynda is also remembered by Leo’s surviving siblings, Anne, Doug and Paul.

Leo and Lynda never looked back leaving Georgetown to build their dream home on Lake Simcoe and thoroughly enjoyed serving the Orillia and surrounding communities for 22 years as the local owners of Beaver Lumber Building Supplies, Orillia. Lynda lived her life with grace and selflessness. She was the rock of her family—known for her generosity, constant smile, contagious laughter and gift of hospitality. Her joy of hosting friends and family created lasting memories they all will cherish forever. Lynda was an amazing and remarkable woman who leaves an eternal void with her passing. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Italiano, the IMRS Floor at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, and the staff at Mariposa House Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Lynda’s final days.

A private family celebration of her life will be held in the coming days. In Lynda’s memory, donations to Mariposa House Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated. Messages of condolence may be shared at www.mundellfuneralhome.com.
