Passed peacefully at home in Orillia on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 91 years. Born in Rodalben, Germany in 1932, Ludwig migrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Orillia around 1954 where he worked at Vollans Industries, Heywood-Wakefield and later for Inglis in Barrie, doing home appliance service until he retired.
Beloved husband of the late Regina Antoinette (nee Rice).  Loving father of Richard Germann, Kevin (Karin) Germann and David Germann.  Grandfather of Brittany Germann (Jarrod Chappell), Kayla Germann, Karl (Roxana) Germann, Ian Germann and Thomas Germann.  Great grandfather of Kaiden Hagen, Ella Germann and Brooklyn Chappell.  Dear brother of Thea (Klaus) Kuntz, Franz-Josef Germann (Brigitta) and Wilhelm (Willie) Germann (predeceased).  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will take place at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, from 12:30pm until time of service in the chapel at 1:30 pm.  If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s' Society would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence at welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
