Leanne Louise Rice (nee Taylor)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Leanne Rice on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, shortly before her 62nd birthday.

Loving and proud mother to Taylor and Brooklyn. Cherished daughter of Eleanor Taylor-Mchnicol and the late Claude (Jim) Taylor. Dearly missed by brothers Steven Taylor (Cheryl Taylor) of Oakville and Robert (Bob) Taylor (Laureen Taylor) of 1000 islands. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews along with her great niece and nephews. Adored always by her life-long friends made in the Floral Park community. Leanne will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted soul that would drop everything to help others. Her deep love for her daughters, her passion for animals and her devotion to growing vegetables in her impressive garden will always be in our memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Leanne to one of the following charities, all of which are meaningful to the family: The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County or Habitat for Humanity Ontario. A celebration of Leanne's life will be held at the Floral Park Community Centre (7115 Beach Dr, Washago) on Sunday August 23rd from 1pm to 4pm, open to all.
