Gammon; Kimberly Ann (Longtime Employee of Georgian College)
It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly Ann Gammon, who left this world surrounded by family and her loving dogs on December 5th, 2025. Born on July 26, 1957, Kim was an avid baseball player, known for her powerful bat, strong pitching arm, and ability to bring her team together. She was also a spontaneous dancer, someone who would easily light up the space around her. Her laughter, energy, and warmth had a way of drawing people in, making them feel at ease and welcome. Whether in a crowded room or a quiet moment, she carried a natural ability to make others feel seen and heard. Above all, she was a woman of boundless compassion and empathy. She devoted her life to doing what was right for the world and caring for others in ways big and small. Her love knew no limits. She not only put her own children first but also opened her heart - and her home - to three children who were not her own, raising them with the same dedication, tenderness, and unwavering support. Her selflessness was not a gesture but a way of life.
Kim was the beloved daughter of Fay and the late Eddie Beers. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Ted, sisters Dawn, and Shelley, and her brothers Teddy (Yvonne), Tracy (predeceased) (Lisa), and Shawn (Laurie). Sister in law of Barry (Leeanne) and Pam (John). A devoted and proud mother, Kimberly leaves behind her beloved children - Chris (Fergie), Melissa (Debralee), Joe (Candice), Sheldon (Tara), Harley, and Santana - each one a reflection of her strength, compassion, humour, and generosity. Kimberly’s heart expanded even further to her grandchildren: Parker, Kaylyn, Riley, Emma, Hudson, Jack, and Ellie, all of whom brought her immense joy. Kimberly’s circle of love extended far beyond family. She treasured her friends deeply as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and Georgian College family. Kim’s spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Daniel, Nurse Hannah, and the compassionate staff at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital for the empathetic and loving care provided in the last year of her life.
In honour of Kimberly’s giving nature, the family asks that in lieu of gifts or donations, please perform a random act of kindness in her memory this holiday season. To continue her legacy of compassion, they also invite everyone to carry out acts of kindness each year on December 5th, celebrating the love she shared so freely. Kimberly’s light will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and eternally cherished. A celebration of life will be held in the spring, 2026. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home.
