Lead with love,
Be intentional about making and cherishing memories,
Strive to be a loyal, honest, and generous human being…
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Weeks. Kenneth died peacefully at the age of 88. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and profound gratitude for family.
Kenneth was the loving husband of Jane for 49 years - their love for each other is eternal and inspirational. He was a devoted father to Stephen (Holli), Glenn (Julie), Denyse (Troy), and Chris (Janet). Honoured to be grandfather to Emily, Wyatt, Owen, Scott, Alexander, Tara, Neil, Jordan, Cassis, Jessica, and Rachel; great granddaughter Addison; and grand puppy Molly. Kenneth was the proud son of Gladys and Arthur Weeks, loved sibling of Arline and Ron, cherished Uncle Ken, cousin, and friend.
Kenneth was a long-time, highly respected elementary school Principal with the Scarborough Board of Education. His firm belief in the positive outcomes of teamwork continuously established an atmosphere of open communication and mutual respect. He helped his students and teachers to strive to reach their fullest potential. To this day, his former students reach out to convey their gratitude and respect.
Kenneth’s creativity found outlet in many ways - a profound one being building the Lake Simcoe home where he and Jane joyfully retired. This property has become a magical place for family and friends to warmly gather.
“Weeks Co. Crafts,” which began with making toyboxes, shelves, trucks and trains for grandchildren, grew into a home-based toy-making business which flourished for years.
Kenneth was an enthusiastic golfer, avid card player, talented calligrapher, skilled woodworker, keen sportsman, and dedicated coach.
