Joseph "Joe" Wehby

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Emmanuel on May 6, 2024 in his 84th year. Joe will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Edna (nee Esson). Joe leaves behind his children Nadeen (Steve), Edward, and George (Laurie). Proud grandfather to six wonderful and talented grandchildren Maryssa (Matthew), Mason, Geordyn, Geoeigh, Benjamin, and Jacob; and recently blessed by two shining stars, his great grandchildren Jaxx and Mayzie. Joe is survived by his sisters Carole and Beverly, and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors on the 3rd floor Palliative Care Unit at RVH in Barrie. Their compassion and never-ending dedication to making Dad’s final days and transition peaceful and pain free has meant so much.

Arrangements entrusted with Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia. Cremation has taken place. A get-together to reminisce about Joe will be held on Friday June 14th from 12pm-3pm at Odas Park, 4461 Fairgrounds Rd, Orillia, ON L3V 6H2.
