John Michael (Jack) Kearney

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Michael (Jack) Kearney on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the age of 77. Jack passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital with family at his side after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Loving husband and best friend of Shirley (Boyd) for 56 years. Devoted father of Janette (Steve) Wyville and Matthew (predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Dylan (predeceased) and Tiffany Wyville. Loved son of the late Dr. Leonard and Joyce Kearney. Dear brother of Brian Kearney (predeceased),  Yvonne Michaud, Alan Kearney (predeceased), and Larry Kearney (Colleen). Brother-in-law of Charles Boyd (Gail, predeceased), Douglas Boyd (predeceased) Gwen, Peter Boyd (Marie, predeceased) and Donald Boyd (Bette). He was a much-loved uncle and great uncle.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Dharssi, Dr Gerard, Dr. Kamra and the doctors and nurses at RVH in the palliative cancer unit for the excellent care Jack received.

As per Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Service of Committal will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 11AM at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Orillia.
