John Thomas Carnochan

October 15, 1959 — February 13, 2021

Passed away at his home in Woodville, Ontario after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and beloved pet, Cabela, on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in his 62nd year. Born in Haliburton, Ontario, beloved father to Hunter Carnochan, Brandon Carnochan, Taylor Park, and Breanna Keeler, and grandfather to Ryland Keeler.  Beloved brother of Martha Carnochan and brother-in-law Tony Mbugua.  Beloved son of Martha Sims (deceased), Keith Carnochan (deceased) and stepson of Dennis Sims (deceased), and grandson of John Crabbe (deceased), Martha Crabbe (deceased), and Rose and Tom Carnochan (both deceased).  He will be sadly missed by his family and large network of friends.  John will be remembered for his love for his family and sense of humour. He was a transport truck driver from a young age until approximately 2011, and then was a boat upholsterer, welder and jack of all trades. The family will receive friends at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street. N., Orillia on Saturday, February 20 from 2:30 until time of service at 3:00 pm. Due to pandemic restrictions, only 50 people, including family, can attend the memorial service and need to be put on the attendee list by Friday, February 19.  Please contact Martha Carnochan at <> to reserve a spot if you have not already contacted Hunter.   Unfortunately, due to COVID capacity restrictions, you may view the live stream of the service at beginning at 3:00 p.m.
John’s ashes will be placed in the grave of Dennis Sims along with the ashes of Martha Sims, at the Maple Lake Church cemetery in the Spring, and scattered in various places where he requested.  Special gratitude to the assistance of Paramed and his nurse, Andrea.  Messages of condolences are welcomed at
