Joann Marlene Reed

With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Joann Marlene Reed, at home surrounded by family, on March 10, 2026, at the age of 52.

Beloved daughter of the late James Reed (1999) and June (nee Hutchinson). Youngest sister of Marie (Joe) Ball, Marsha Reed, and Teresa King. Much loved aunt of Tyler & Joey Ball, and Megan King. Proud great-aunt to Finn Ball, Dexter & Herrera Leighman. Joann will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends.

Joann was a strong and resilient woman, fighting cancer several times with courage and dignity. She was outgoing and valued her friendships and was very fond of the two special little girls next door. Joann enjoyed crafting with her mom, attending many craft shows to sell some of her pieces, like knitted socks, mittens, dollhouses and toy cars.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. Cremation has taken place. Joann will rest at the St. Andrew's-St. James' Cemetery, 320 Coldwater Road West, Orillia with her father.
