HILL, JOAN BEATRICE (nee: Bernard) (Long-time member of the Guardian Angels C.W.L. and The Society of St. Joseph) (Former RNA at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for many years). Passed peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, Ontario on Friday, May 30th, 2014 in her 85th year, with family and a dear friend by her side. Joan Hill, of Orillia, beloved wife of the late Mervin Roy (Red) Hill. Loving mother of Jim and Terry-Lynn of Orillia, Wendy (predeceased) and Rick McFadden of Orillia, Shelly and Stephen Conquer of Timmins, Jill and Kim Kovac of Whitehorse, Yukon, Janie and Marty Bulmer of Washago, and Susan and Bruce Henderson of Owen Sound. Also, loved grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 10. Dear sister of John (Gloria) Bernard of Sarnia, Bernadette Holden of Victoria Harbour and Audrey (Lionel) "Scorchie" Trodd of Thunder Bay and predeceased by 12 siblings. The late Mrs. Joan Hill will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Then to the Church of the Guardian Angels, Orillia for Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning, June 4th at 10 o'clock. Cremation to follow with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery at a later date. Parish Prayers will be said in the parlour on Tuesday evening at 6:45. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Hospice Simcoe or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
Visitation
Will be held at Mundell Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 3 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Mass of Christian Burial
Will be held at Guardian Angels Church on Wednesday, June 4 at 10am.
