Jeffrey James Draper

It's with a sad heart we announce the death of Jeffrey James Draper. Jeff was the second son of Roy and Eileen Draper, and the brother of his only sibling Rusty Draper. In August Jeff would have turned 69 years of age. He leaves behind his sister-in-law Patricia, along with his niece Jane Hokanson (Stephen) and nephew Roy Draper (Beth) and two special cousins Kathy King and Jenifer Bartlett. Since childhood he has maintained close friendships with his long time buddies Brian Whitehead, Mark Clairmont, Paul Clairmont and Doug Barnes. Although most of these friends are now living far away from their Bay Street neighbourhood in Gravenhurst, they still kept in close contact. It was made available that these friends were able to phone Jeff in his Palliative Care room at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and shared their memories of many years ago. Although Jeff was in a stuporous state, it is believed that he could understand them, but could not respond.  Jeff has been in poor health for a number of years, but is now released from his pain and confinement.

Jeff will long be remembered for his big smile, hardy laugh, and his great sense of humour. It was Jeff's desire that cremation take place and there will be a private family graveside service at a later date. Jeff will be interred with his parents.
