Hilda Mae Beard (nee Rivett)

Gone Home to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Friday, September 25th, 2026, in her 88th year. Loving wife of John Beard. Cherished mother of Michael (Jacqueline) and Paul (Kimberley). Proud grandma of Carter, Decker and great grandma of Rowan. Daughter of the late Joe & Elsie Rivett. Predeceased by siblings Horst (Tilly), Alan (Hazel), and Norey (Joan). Sister-in-law of the late Bruce Beard (Wendy) and Dave Beard (Sylvia). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and her entire church family at North Country Baptist.

Hilda had a gift of serving others, which led her on many mission trips to Bolivia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and countless trips to Mexico, where she worked faithfully on building and mission facilities. She also devoted 26 years volunteering with the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital specializing in the diabetic department.

Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home on Friday, October 2nd from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 11 AM at the North Country Baptist Church, 4011 Burnside Line, Orillia. Interment: St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. In memory of Hilda, memorial donations to The North Country Baptist Children's Home would be appreciated.
