Future service arrangements to be announced at a later date.

It is with the deepest sadness that the family announces the passing of Gilles Quevillon on Monday, April 20th, 2020 at the age of 81 from a short, and sudden battle of severe pneumonia at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. Born in Saint-Emile-de-Suffolk he was the third son of Omer and Simone (née Bernard) Quevillon. Beloved husband of Françoise Quevillon (née Dionne). Devoted father to Lynda Quevillon-Dupuis (Bern), Carole Quevillon-Daoust and Gilbert Quevillon (Michelle). Cherished Pépère to Nikolas, Philippe, Cole and Cassey. Gilles was predeceased by his brother Urgent Quevillon (Ruth) and will be missed by his brothers Carmel Quevillon (Henriette), Marjel Quevillon (Denise), Alain Quevillon, and his only sister, Odette St-Onge (the late Richard). Forever remembered by many nieces, nephews and by the many lives he touched.

Gilles was a great man, husband, father, and grandfather and a dedicated family man who would always be found lending a hand to his family and friends when he wasn't found at one of his happy places; the arena, the golf course and in his younger days, the ball park. Gilles was never very far from the love of his life Françoise. They were inseparable and in all their 56 years of marriage, they were rarely ever apart. They were just so madly and deeply committed and in love that it was beautiful to watch and admire. If you were lucky enough to know Gilles, you knew that he boasted about his grandkids and was happy to attend all their sports that he could. From ball hockey, to basketball, baseball and to all the hockey he could get, if he was able to, he went! He beamed with pride for anything that they did. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and held a special place in his heart.

How lucky we all were to have him with us and for him to love us and us love him.

Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia, Ontario.
