Gary Everett Peters

December 20, 1941 — January 5, 2024

Gary Everett Peters
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gary Everett Peters on Friday, January 5th at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Orillia. He was 82.
He will be profoundly missed by his wife, Faye, his daughters, Lynne and Pam, and his stepsons, David (Lisa) and Jeffery (Karen). He leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Gary enjoyed being outdoors and walking the local trails, where he could often be spotted enjoying a cigar. He was an avid reader of all things non-fiction. Gary had a life long passion for music and was an avid guitar player, entertaining his family and friends for many years. Whether he was on par with his idols Merle Haggard and John Prine is debatable, but to his listeners, it didn't matter.
Gary was an enthusiastic golfer. Maybe not quite good enough to play on the PGA Tour, but certainly good enough to enjoy the game with his friends. One of his favorite pastimes was to sit on the deck at Couchiching Golf and Country Club listening to his golfing buddies make excuses for why they played so poorly that day.
In keeping with Gary's wishes, no formal services will be held. We encourage you to remember him through shared stories and memories.
Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home.
