Gail Tucker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Shanedel Shier-Tucker on August 15, 2025 in Halifax, Nova Scotia after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved wife to the late Robert (Bob) Tucker. Loving mother to Kelly Curran (Lori Coady) and John (Lori) Curran. Proud gma to Angela (Henry) Willis, Sherry Curran (Robert McAndrew), Michael Curran (Amber Leturneau), Amy Curran and Jacob Curran.

Predeceased by her parents Harry and Margaret Shier. Dear sister to Gerry Baxter, Lynn Melbourne (predeceased) and Yvonne Shier (predeceased). Cherished Aunt to Kim Baxter and son Brandon, Bart Baxter, Martin, Darryl and Warren Melbourne.

Gail was born in Toronto Ontario and although she called many places home, mostly around the Orillia area. Her love was in Nova Scotia. She lived in Brule in a cozy cove near Tatamagouche. Gail loved the ocean, the trails her many great friends and the slower paced lifestyle.

Gail lived a life marked by strength, compassion and quiet resilience. Known for her unwavering love for family and her ability to make those around her feel truly loved. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and grace.

Throughout her life, Gail carried herself with dignity and kindness. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence a gift to all who knew her. She approached her cancer diagnosis with the same bravery and grace that defined her entire life, never allowing it to take away her spirit or her love for others.

Gail ‘s memory will live in the hearts of her family, friends, and all that were fortunate to have shared her journey. Her life is a testament to the power of perseverance and love.

A private memorial will be held to honour her life and legacy.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
