Frank Kinzinger

March 14, 1935 — October 7, 2024

Kinzinger, Charles “Frank”

Our hearts are heavy with grief as it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Frank Kinzinger, on October 7, 2024, at the age of eighty-nine.

Frank's journey began on March 14, 1935, in Toronto, Ontario, under the loving care of Edgar “Roy” and Daisy (Nee Montgomery) Kinzinger.

Frank's life intertwined with that of his cherished wife, Daisy, for 63 years until she passed away on December 23, 2021. Renowned for his kindness to everyone he met, unwavering determination, and his strength of character, Frank was the pillar of love and support for his family and community.

He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his daughter, Deborah Miculinic (Vel), sons, David Kinzinger (Karen), Donald Kinzinger (Shaunagh), and adored grandfather to Kaitlin Kinzinger (Zach), Kristen Kinzinger, Austin Kinzinger, Ashley Kinzinger, Jeremy Miculinic (Michelle), Timothy Higashi (Diana), Michael Miculinic (Chelsea), and great-grandfather to nine beautiful souls, Cristian, Selena, and Romeo (Higashi Luna), Sophia and Olivia (Miculinic), William, Thomas, and Emma (Miculinic), and Gabriel (Higashi). His memory is also treasured by his surviving sisters, Barbara Gallagher (Dave), Marilyn Meldrum (Paul), and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Frank was an entrepreneur at heart as shown by his impressive career path. He spent many years with Domtar, working his way from salesman to general manager to director of marketing. He was also president of Krueger Pulp and Paper before moving on to Container Corporation and Chieftan Products, where he served both as a senior executive.

He was also a hard-working and loyal supporter of Daisy’s thriving business - The Livery Stable - which they successfully ran in Fenelon Falls for 30+ years. They were a formidable couple, with Daisy small but mighty, and Frank larger than life.

Frank dedicated many years to nurturing the Fenelon Falls Santa Claus parade for the children of Kawartha Lakes. Additionally, his lifelong devotion to the “Class of 54” at Ridley College, where he was a student from 1949 to 1954, speaks volumes about his enduring passion.

Private funeral services for the immediate family will be held in Orillia, where Frank will be laid to rest beside his late wife, Daisy. A celebration of their lives will take place at Hawk Ridge Golf Club, Orillia, Ontario, on Sunday, November 17th from 1 to 4 pm. We extend a heartfelt invitation to all to join us in commemorating the beautiful lives of Frank and Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fenelon Falls Santa Day fund, Ridley College, or a charity of your choice by calling the Mundell Funeral Home at 705-325-2231, or coming into the funeral home located at 79 West street North, Orillia. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
