It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Florence McDonald on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Joseph McDonald. Loving mother of Joanne Lee (Steve) and Brian McDonald (Sharmane). Cherished grandmother of Michael McDonald (Taylor) and Mark Lee and honourary grandmother Shannon Morris and Alexandra Morris. Proud great gramma of Luke Morris, Blake Willis, Scarlette Willis, Emmett Morris and Jaxon O’Neill. Dear sister of Jeane Boudreau (Phil predeceased), Rosemary Jeffray (Carl) both predeceased, John Plouffe (Maura) both predeceased, Ernest Plouffe predeceased (Carmen), Henery Plouffe (predeceased), Arthur Plouffe (Lorraine) both predeceased, Lloyd Plouffe (Dora) both predeceased, Gerald Plouffe (Jackie) both predeceased and Cecile St. Louis (Tony) both predeceased.
Florence was born on January 24, 1946, to Frank and Rose Boudreau in Matheson, Cochrane District. She married Joseph on May 4, 1968, and had two children, Joanne and Brian. Florence spent much of her past time quilting, serving at her church and most importantly spending quality time with her family.
Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Sunday, October 19th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held in the parlour Sunday afternoon at 1:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 20th at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 3315 Muskoka St., Washago. Interment: Black River Cemetery.
