SUMMERS, Douglas John; (Former member of Hawkridge Golf Club) Passed suddenly, with family by his side on Tuesday, July 15th, 2014 at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Linda Summers. Loving father of David (Jennie Eastcott) Summers. Adored son of John and Helen Summers, son-in-law of Robert and Bernice Fenton (all predeceased). Cherished brother of Linda (Randy) Jamieson and brother-in-law of Al (Sharon) Fenton. Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews Brian (Kelly), Kelly, Alison, Curtis and great neices Penelope and Abigail. Will be sadly missed by his four-legged companions, Rusty and Dally. As per Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. Help us toast his life by dropping into Couchiching Golf & Country Club on Saturday afternoon, July 19th between 2 - 4 P.M. (Casual Dress Welcome). In lieu of flowers, give a gift of reading to your child or grandchild's school library. Memorial donations may also be made to the SPCA - Orillia Branch, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Visitation
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Couchiching Golf and Country Club, 370 Peter St. N., Orillia on Saturday, July 19th from 2 - 4pm.
