In Loving Memory of Daniel “Dan” Snider June 6, 1961 – May 7, 2025.
The world lost a true original when Dan Snider rode off into the eternal horizon, no doubt on a Harley roaring louder than thunder and carrying more stories than the wind could hold. Born June 6, 1961, Dan lived his life like he rode his bike, with purpose, guts, and a deep respect for the journey.
A master millwright by trade and a master of life by nature, Dan had a rare genius for making things work, whether it was an aging machine, a stubborn engine, or a difficult day. His hands bore the wisdom of a thousand fixes, and his mind, quick and sharp, could troubleshoot life as easily as he could a gearbox. He didn’t just build things, he built people. He taught by example, with a twinkle in his eye, a quip on his lips, and an unwavering belief in the power of showing up, standing tall, and doing it right.
Dan was a man of many titles: Son, Brother, Father, poppa, Teacher, Friend. And yet none of those quite capture the magnetic blend of humility, wit, intelligence, and mechanical poetry that defined him. He had a unique gift for saying the exact thing you needed to hear, whether it made you laugh, think, or, more often than not, both at the same time. He didn’t sugarcoat life — he seasoned it, with insight, humor, and just enough sarcasm to remind us all not to take ourselves too seriously.
Despite his remarkable talents, Dan wore his brilliance lightly. He never bragged. He didn’t need to. You knew who he was by what he did, quietly helping others, solving problems no one else could crack, and offering his time and wisdom freely, without fanfare or fuss. His legacy lives on in the machines he mended, the minds he shaped, and the family he loved with fierce loyalty and quiet pride.
He leaves behind a trail of stories, a chorus of laughter, and a family richer for having known the full force of his love and character. Dan was the kind of man who made life better simply by being in it — and now that he's gone, we’re left to carry his lessons forward, to grease the gears, tell the truth, help when we can, and always ride with heart.
So here’s to Dan Snider, a craftsman of machines and moments, a biker with soul, and a teacher of life. May the road rise up to meet him, the sky stays forever open, and may we never forget the ride he gave us all.
