Daisy Loretta Kinzinger

June 24, 1937 — December 23, 2021

Kinzinger; Daisy Loretta
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Daisy Loretta Kinzinger, nee Grant, on December 23, at the age of 84.  She leaves behind her soul mate and husband of 64 years, Frank Kinzinger.  She was a devoted wife who lovingly cared for her husband with his challenging health needs, over the past many years. Much beloved mother of Deborah (Vel Miculinic), David (Karen) and Donald (Shaunagh).  Loving and very special grandmother of Chris Higashi, Tim (Diana) Higashi, Jeremy (Michelle) and Michael (Chelsea) Miculinic, Kaitlin (Zach) and Kristen (Mitch) Kinzinger, and Austin and Ashley Kinzinger of whom she was infinitely proud.  Sadly missed by her great grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia, William, Thomas, Cristian, Selena and Romeo.  Sister of Betty, and predeceased by brothers David, Bobby, William and Richard.
Daisy, along with her husband Frank, was the proprietor of the Livery Stable Gift Shop in Fenelon Falls for over 30 years.  She loved the Fenelon Falls community and touched many hearts and souls during her time there.  She was an astute and very successful business woman, with an incredible work ethic and boundless energy.  She was a role model for hard work, dedication and strength of character that her children have followed in their lives.  She would often say “more is caught then taught”.  She had a grace and charm about her that was infectious to all those around her.  She and Frank always faced life’s challenges head on - they made a formidable team.
There will be a private family service and burial.  A celebration of life will take place in the spring.  Thank you to the staff and residents of Leacock Retirement Lodge and RVH Emergency for their care and thoughtfulness.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University Health Network (UHN) or Ridley College through the Mundell Funeral Home.  Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
