Brian Ingle Seaward

Brian Seaward passed peacefully in his home on August 17th, enjoying the view of the lake from his chair. Brian was born July 3rd 1937, Toronto Ontario, then at the age of four he moved with his family to Scarlett Park where he began his journey in the community of Lake St. George. It is here where he met his soulmate Elda (predeceased). When they wed in 1963, together they grew a successful plumbing, electrical and general contracting business.

Brian always made sure to put his family first and was a loving father to Deb (Mike) and Brenda (predeceased) (Bruce). With a love of airplanes and the water he created invaluable memories with his grandchildren, Rachael (Brandon), Jessica (Derek) and Adam.

In their home on the lake they built their life together raising children, hosting friends, taking airplane and boat rides, and later helping raise their grandchildren. Brian was incredibly proud of his grandchildren; through their accomplishments and the young adults they have become. No matter the day or time he was always willing to help a neighbor in need; whether it be heading to a barn at 3am or making sure the roads were always plowed.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, from 4pm-6pm. The Funeral will be held in the Mundell Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm on Thursday, August 21, followed by an interment for both Brian and Elda at St Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Washago, with a subsequent reception at Lake St. George Community Hall, where their journey began.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Victoryjunction.org, a camp for chronically ill children in memory of Brian.
