It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our cousin, Brian O'Donnell, on June 29, 2025, one week shy of his 62nd birthday. Brian was born July 7, 1963 in Toronto, to Joan (nee Murphy) and Edmund O'Donnell, (both of predeceased). Younger brother to Diane Brown (nee O'Donnell) (predeceased), uncle to Geoffrey, Maryellen and Jamie Brown. While born and residing in Toronto most of his life, every weekend, holiday and spare moment was spent in Brechin at the family cottage on Lake Dalrymple. Brian was an avid angler and loved his days on the boat. He will be greatly missed by cousin, Michael and wife Cheryl O'Donnell, whom he lived his final year with enjoying the sunny days and beautiful sunsets of Lake Dalrymple; as well as cousin Shannon O'Donnell (Matt Stewart) and his lively entertainers, Poppy and Mina Stewart. Brian will be missed by friends, family and neighbours, and close friend, Bill Duffy. Our family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to nurses and doctors in the palliative care unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto. And a truly special thanks to the evening shift Corrections Officers who demonstrated true and genuine compassion and extraordinary care for Brian and our family during this very difficult time. Cremation has taken place.  Visitation and Funeral Mass to take place at St. Andrew's Church, 2172 4th Conc Rd., Brechin, ON on Monday, July 21st from 11 am until time of Mass at 12 noon.  Reception to follow.    If desired, memorial donations to the Couchiching Conservancy would be appreciated.
