BRIAN A. BURKE July 11, 1945 - June 22, 2026

Brian A. Burke passed away peacefully in his sleep at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on June 22, 2026, in his 81st year.

Brian leaves behind his loving children, Jason (Lisa), Robyn (Jason), and Hailey (Peter). He was a devoted Grandpa to Cody, Frankie-Lee, Madison, Damon; and a cherished Papa to Hunter, Emma, Emily, Nolan, and James. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Elliot and Averie, all of whom he loved deeply.

Brian is also lovingly remembered by his partner, Veronica, whose companionship brought him joy every day over the past several years.

He was predeceased by his Father, Gordon Burke; his Mother, Frances Burke; and his beloved Brother, Silas Burke.

Brian was a dedicated courier with Purolator, proudly serving the Barrie area from 1978 until his retirement in 2008. Even in his later years, he spoke fondly of his customers and the many friendships he built throughout his career.

Brian also leaves behind his cherished “Picnic Table Crew” at his apartment building. He looked forward each day to spending time with this wonderful group of friends, whose companionship meant so much to him and brought great comfort to his family.

Brian will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, warm heart, and genuine ability to connect with people. He made lasting impressions on everyone he met throughout his life and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Say not in grief that he is gone, but live in thankfulness that he was here.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, Ontario, L3V 5C1.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception for family and friends.

In memory of Brian, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
