BAYE, B.J. (Basil James)
Passed away suddenly at Orillia’s Soldier Memorial Hospital on Sunday February 7, 2021, in his 43rd year, after a short illness. Beloved son of Lucille McNaughton-Baye and Basil Baye. Dearly loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. B.J. was a Super Champ with the War Amps Program. He created a Star Trek club in his high school with Mark Wooldridge, a close friend. B.J. was a graduate of Niagara College of the multi-media program. A prolific reader, B.J. enjoyed science fiction and fantasy novels and was a published author of some short stories in this genre. The family would like to thank Cindy, Donna, Kim & Andrea of Care Partners for all their compassionate care over the last 5 years.
I am sending a dove to heaven, with a parcel on its wings. Be careful when you open it. Inside are kisses, wrapped up in a million hugs, to say how much we miss you and to send you all our love. We hold you close in our hearts, and there you will remain, with me, through the rest of our lives, until we meet again.
Following cremation there will be a celebration of life when circumstances allow. If desired, donations to the War Amp Program would be gratefully appreciated by the family and can be made through the Mundell Funeral Home Orillia,
