Betty Jane Earle

We are saddened to announce the passing of Betty Jane Earle (nee Parker), who died peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on December 22, 2025. Betty was born on February 17, 1940, in Lindsay, Ontario, the cherished daughter of James and Bertie Parker and the dear sister of Nancy Sinclair (deceased) and Sharon Dale.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, James Earle. Betty will be deeply missed by her daughter Kimberley Powell (John) and her sons Jim Earle (Chris) and Tom Earle (Janet). Betty was immensely proud of her grandchildren Lindsay, Nicholas, Lucas and Mac Earle and Daniel and Sarah Powell and great granddaughters Phoebe and Ellie Powell, whom she called her “special angels.”

Betty was truly one of a kind with a unique warmth and sincerity that impacted every person she encountered with her infectious smile, laugh, sense of humour and deep caring for all.

The family would like to thank her dedicated friend and caregiver, Lorie Chrysler, as well as the staff at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, especially the doctors and the wonderful nurses of the Palliative Unit who cared for Betty.

Visitation will be held at Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia, on Wednesday January 28, 2026, from 6-8 pm. A second visitation will be held on Thursday January 29, 2026, from 1-2 pm. A service will follow at 2 pm followed by a reception, all at Mundell Funeral Home.
