Barbara Frances Trimble (nee Jermey)

June 19, 1950 - September 5, 2026

Barbara Frances Trimble (nee Jermey) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday September 5, 2026, at the age of 76 in Haliburton.

Born in Orillia, Ontario, Barb was the cherished daughter of the late Dalton and Edythe Jermey (nee MacArthur). She was the beloved wife and best friend of late Ron Babcock. Barb was the cherished and devoted mother of Maureen (Rick) Ruttig of Blind Bay, BC. Dear sister of Louise (Derek) McNeil of Orillia and the late Don Jermey of Alameda, Saskatchewan. Fondly remembered as “GB” by Raven Drumheller of Vancouver, BC. She will be deeply missed by Dan and Stephanie Babcock of Muskoka and the Baumgartner-Spooner Family in Haliburton.

Barb was a gracious, kind, and loving person whose life was enriched by the people she loved and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She had a genuine appreciation for life and found joy in reading, tending to her gardens, and being out in nature on her daily walks. She especially loved golf-not only for the game itself, but for the time spent with family and friends, sharing laughter and enjoying a game she truly loved. Her warm and welcoming nature made people feel comfortable, cared for, and valued in her company.

Throughout her life, Barb formed many lifelong friendships that brought her happiness and connection through the years. Her journey took her from Orillia to the memories of Muskoka, and later to Haliburton. Each place brought new people and experiences into her life, while many cherished friendships remained a constant along the way.

Barb’s life was well lived, filled with meaningful relationships, laughter, and the everyday pleasures she appreciated so deeply. She will be remembered with great affection, and her memory will be carried forward with love.
