Barbara Ann Neemre

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Barbara Ann Neemre (nee Gilchrist) on July 28, 2025 in her 90th year. Beloved wife to the late Ilmo Neemre. Barbara leaves behind her son, Stephen C. Neemre of Orillia. Predeceased by her parents John and Bernadine Gilchrist (nee Vasey), and brothers Harold, Stan, Ted, and Don.

Barbara was a lab technician at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for over 25 years, eventually becoming the Director of Hemotology. She was a member of the Orillia Curling Club and the Couchching Golf & Country Club. She was an avid traveler and greatly enjoyed sailing with her family.

Cremation to take place. Memorial Visitation will be held at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, on Sunday, August 10 from 1-4pm & 6-9pm. Barbara will rest with Ilmo at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, 320 Coldwater Road West, Orillia. If desired, flowers accepted or a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
