Former owner of Kwik Kopy Printing in Barrie and Pixels N Print in Orillia. Wife, mother, entrepreneur, mentor and friend.
Passed away peacefully, at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, with family at her side, on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019, in her 96th year. Arlene Morton, of Orillia, beloved wife of 67 years to John Morton Sr. Loving mother of John Morton and wife Susan of Barrie, Richard Morton and wife Roswitha of Warminster. Proud grandmother of Chelsey Bannon (Matthew), Abigail Morton, Chad Thompson and Angela Martin and great grandmother of Parker Bannon and Emerson Bannon. Predeceased by her parents George and Lily Franklin. Survived by sisters Ethel Ferguson of Katrine and Lillian White of Orangeville. Predeceased by brothers Admiral Franklin, Russell Franklin, William Franklin and John Franklin and by sisters Thora Tysick, Bernice Curry, Mary Jane Best and Shirley Kearney. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, colleagues and former employees. As per Arlene's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
