Passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 76. Alan, beloved husband of Dianne Higgins. Loving father of Jacquie Shilling (Dan), Amy Micks-Frank (Eddie) and Brent Micks (Melissa).

Grandfather of Joshua Shilling, Patrick Shilling (Brittany), Cameron Shilling, and Kassidy Micks. Great grandfather of Mia Shilling. Son of the late Doris and Ken Micks. Dear brother of Sandra Ogden (Joe), Brenda Smith (Larry), Sylvia Smith (Gerry), Ken Micks (Teresa) and Roy Micks (Mary). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Alan grew up in Orillia where he was best known for his excellent hockey achievements and all around athletic abilities. A private Graveside Service will be held at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to Mariposa House Hospice or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
