Engeland; Shirley Anne (nee Lindsay)

Anne was born on July 23, 1933 in Kapuskasing, On., she passed away peacefully at the Trillium Manor, Orillia, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 92 years.

Anne spent her teenage years growing up in Burk's Falls, ON after her parents moved there to start a business. She studied nursing in Toronto and became a practicing RNA in Orillia. She worked at Huronia Regional Centre where she met our father, Harry (Herbert) Engeland. They married Sept. 21, 1957 in Burk's Falls. They spent their married years in Orillia and had two girls, Lynn and Laurie (living in Toronto and St. Catharines). After our father's retirement from the Orillia Fire Department mom and dad spent 22 wonderful winters living in Mesa, Arizona. They were lucky enough to have a long and healthy life, with many friends. They travelled often and did many cruises and riverboat trips. Many with mom's sister Jeanne (alive and well at 94 yrs old) along for the fun. Memorial donations gladly accepted to Alzheimer's Society. Many thanks to Trillium Home facility who cared for mom for 8 years. In short, our mother had a wonderful, happy life, with all our family members. Her joy of shopping, travelling, and socializing and life with our father fulfilled her. Cremation with no service at this time. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia.
