WILDE, Robert Bruce

July 12, 1933 - February 11, 2026

Bob Wilde passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia on February 11, 2026 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Olga Wilde for 24 years and the late Joan Wilde for 33 years. Bob was a proud and devoted father to Barry (Jill), Steve (predeceased) and daughter-in-law Sandra (Dave Jackson), and stepchildren Marshall Rowe, Kelly Balkwill (Brian) and Dana Stewart (Gord). Cherished Grandpa of Avery Wilde, Hilary Wilde (Braiden Burnett), Mitchell Wilde, Carly Wilde, Brent Balkwill (Kristina Fox), Brianne Balkwill (Jeff), Emily-Jane Sazzad (Radeyan), Ian Stewart (Francesca) and Cameron Stewart. Bob was also blessed with his great grandchildren Briar Balkwill, Ryah and Zoey Burnett, Arya, Lachlan and Nina Sazzad, and Kya and Kash Stewart.

Bob was a terrific brother and friend to his late brother Jim and sister-in-law Betty Wilde, and a wonderful uncle to his niece Sue Wilde (Mike Lombard) and Mike Wilde (Laura).

Bob and his family are extremely grateful for the outstanding care and comfort he received from the Wellness Staff at Mariposa House Hospice, Sundial Lakeview Retirement Residence, Couchiching Family Health Team and Dr. Joel Runk and his staff.

Bob`s family would like to invite his friends to an informal visitation at Mundell Funeral Home (79 West St. N, Orillia) on Wednesday, February 18th from 1-4 pm.

A private family service will take place at St. Andrew`s and St. James’ Cemetery in Orillia in the spring.
