Robert Clyde Marshall passed away suddenly Sunday October 11, 2026 at his residence in his 79th year. He was the son of the late Clyde and Edna Marshall. Husband of the late Sandra Marshall. Brother of the late Jack (Betty) Marshall and June (Bill) Rath. Father of Matthew (Ragil) and John (Megan). Lovingly remembered by his step daughter Sheri (Rob) and by many nieces and nephews.

Robert started his newspaper career with the Packet and Times in Orillia. Robert worked across Canada for the Thomson newspaper chain. He worked his way up to being the publisher of the Simcoe Reformer. He and Sandra retired to Orillia and Robert filled some

Of his retirement years at Casino Rama as a patron host. He had a very magnetic personality and made friends everywhere he went. He especially enjoyed socializing with his neighbours. As a younger man, Robert was athletic participating in baseball and waterskiing. He was happiest spending his time with family and friends experiencing the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, biking, walking and sitting outside in the morning with his coffee, a book and the birds. He was a voracious reader.
