Passed away peacefully at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the age of 88 years due to complications with Parkinson's. Jim, was born in London, ON, grew up in Putnam and spent most of his 80 years in Dorchester. He was born to the late Wilfred and Matilda (nee Darlison) Peaker. Jim was an IBM Technician and project manager for 38 years. He was also a member of the North Dorchester Optimist Club for over 52 years and through the club he helped create the Dorchester car show, was treasurer, part of the rodeo, bingo committee as well as bar steward for many years.

Jim is predeceased by two wives Nancy (Bean-Rumball) and Marion Jean (Bennett-Boale). Loving father to Kelly (Tracy predeceased) Ellis and Lori (Perry) Bell. Cherished grandfather of Brent (Carolyn), Heather (Joel), Derek, Devon Albrechtas (Ally), Drew Albrechtas (Jess); stepson Jeremy (Josselyn), and John. Jim was great grandpa to Chloe, Kendall, Violet and Zachary. Dear brother to Dorothy (predeceased), Barbara (Mike), Jeanette and Tom (predeceased) (Marilyn). He is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

As per Jim's wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held June 28 at the Dorchester Optimist Hall. Donations to The Parkinson's Foundation are appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia.
