Johnson; Gloria May (nee Voigt) Passed away peacefully at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia on April 7, 2026 in her 95th year. Gloria, beloved wife of the late Earnest Johnson for 67 years. Loving mother of Valerie Stipe (Gary) and Ron (Fiona). Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Adam, Erik, Kimberley, Christina and Evan. Proud great grandmother of Spencer, Aria, Elsa, Charlotte, Erik and Frankie. Gloria was born in Zurich Switzerland to Karl & May Voigt, they emigrated to Canada in 1932 when she was just 1 1/2 years old. After retiring from bookkeeping she became the secretary for the Royal Conservancy of Music, Mississauga Branch which was her dream job. Her love of music was unwavering at the age of 58 she obtained her Music Degree and continued teaching Suzuki Method Piano into her 80's. She was also very active with the Red Hat Society, Probus and in Saint Athanasius Church, playing the organ and piano for services and being an active member of the congregation as a volunteer as well as working with the women's auxiliary. In her quiet time she would be found knitting something for one of her beloved family members. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren whether at sporting events or recitals. Gloria will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home.
